Data Analyst (SAS/R/ Clinical Data)

Position: Data Analyst(SAS, R, Python)-Open Position-CA

Responsibilities

• Data Management and Programming
• Develop, maintain, and manage research datasets using SAS, SAS Viya, Python, R, SQL, and Databricks.
• Perform data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and integration from multiple sources.
• Conduct data quality assessments and validation checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Create reusable programming code and analytic workflows that support research studies.
• Maintain version-controlled and well-documented programming code.

Research and Analytic Support

• Collaborate with investigators, epidemiologists, biostatisticians, and project teams to support study design and data requirements.
• Support development of research datasets and analytic files used in observational and epidemiologic studies.
• Assist with data reporting, study tracking, and project monitoring activities.
• Contribute to interpretation of analytic findings and preparation of study deliverables.

Documentation and Communication

• Produce clear documentation of programming processes, data sources, specifications, assumptions, results, meeting discussions, and action items.
• Develop presentations, training materials, and technical documentation for project teams.
  Present data management and programming activities to study teams and stakeholders.
  

Technical Support and Problem Resolution

• Investigate and resolve data-related issues through root-cause analysis.
  Support production and research computing environments, including scheduled and ad hoc processing jobs. ]
• Work with project teams to identify and implement efficient data solutions.
  

Technical Skills
Proficiency in SAS.
Working knowledge of R and/or Python.
Experience with SQL and relational database concepts.
Experience with Databricks or other cloud-based analytic platforms.
Strong data cleaning, data transformation, and data validation skills.
