Tax Manager, Direct Tax & Strategic Projects

ŌURA is a company dedicated to empowering individuals to understand and improve their health through innovative products like the Oura Ring. They are seeking a Tax Manager, Direct Tax & Strategic Projects to support high-impact tax initiatives, collaborate with various finance stakeholders, and enhance the tax function as the company expands globally.

Responsibilities:

• Support high-impact tax projects tied to business growth, new structures, market expansion, and other strategic initiatives
• Partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, external tax advisors, and other finance stakeholders to provide practical, business-oriented tax support
• Help evaluate and implement tax considerations related to international expansion, and evolving business needs
• Drive process improvements that strengthen how the tax function supports the business and scales with company growth
• Take ownership of priority direct tax workstreams while balancing longer-term strategic and operational projects
• Build strong cross-functional relationships and help the tax team respond quickly and thoughtfully to complex, high-priority matters

Requirements:

• 7+ years of corporate tax experience, ideally including a mix of public accounting and in-house exposure
• Strong direct tax knowledge, including federal and state corporate income tax compliance and provision work
• Familiarity with international tax concepts and the tax implications of operating across multiple jurisdictions
• Experience supporting strategic tax matters, process improvements, or special projects beyond standard compliance work
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain tax issues clearly to cross-functional partners
• A self-starter mindset with the ability to manage priorities independently in a lean, fast-moving environment
