Product Operations Manager — Sports Nutrition & Functional Beverages

Levels is one of the fastest-growing sports nutrition brands in America, known for its premium protein powders. The Product Operations Manager will maintain the operational infrastructure behind every product, ensuring the integrity of systems, documentation, and product records necessary for accurate manufacturing and sales.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the owner of product master data across the organization, including:
• SKU creation and maintenance
• Item master records
• GTIN and UPC management
• Part numbering systems
• Product hierarchies
• Product attributes
• ERP product setup
• Finished good and component records
• Maintain accurate product information across internal systems and ensure changes are communicated across departments
• Maintain and organize all product documentation, including:
• Product specifications
• Packaging specifications
• Ingredient specifications
• Bills of Material (BOMs)
• Master Manufacturing Records (MMRs)
• Finished good specifications
• Raw material documentation
• Vendor documentation
• Regulatory documentation
• Product data sheets
• Retail specification sheets
• Ensure all documentation is current, version controlled, and easily accessible
• Coordinate operational activities related to packaging, including:
• Packaging specifications
• Artwork routing
• Packaging approvals
• Printer proofs
• Label revisions
• Packaging change requests
• Case pack configurations
• Pallet specifications
• Retail display specifications
• Club tray specifications
• Maintain packaging records and ensure manufacturing always operates from current approved files
• Own product revision control by:
• Coordinating specification updates
• Managing engineering and product change requests
• Tracking revision history
• Maintaining version control
• Communicating approved changes across departments
• Supporting product lifecycle management
• Ensure obsolete documentation is retired and current documentation is properly released
• Maintain operational records related to external manufacturing partners, including:
• Vendor setup
• Manufacturing contacts
• Manufacturing capabilities
• Approved supplier documentation
• Manufacturing documentation
• Packaging vendor records
• Ingredient supplier records
• Support onboarding of new suppliers and manufacturing partners
• Help build scalable product operations by:
• Improving ERP data accuracy
• Supporting PLM implementation and administration
• Standardizing documentation
• Developing templates and operating procedures
• Supporting audits
• Improving document organization
• Identifying opportunities to automate manual processes
• Become the company's subject matter expert for product information management

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in consumer packaged goods, food & beverage, dietary supplements, sports nutrition, or related industries
• Experience managing product master data, product documentation, or product operations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience maintaining ERP or PLM product records
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
• Strong written communication and documentation skills
• Experience in one or more of the following: Sports nutrition, Protein powders, Functional beverages, Dietary supplements, Food & beverage, Consumer packaged goods
• Working knowledge of ERP systems
• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
• Product Information Management (PIM)
• SKU management
• GTIN and UPC administration
• Bills of Material (BOMs)
