Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Content & Social Media - LAPSCCSM

Ronald McDonald House Orange County is seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to support their digital engagement and storytelling efforts. The role involves creating content for social media, email communications, and fundraising campaigns while coordinating with multiple teams to enhance community engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Capture and create engaging content across Ronald McDonald Houses, Family Rooms, Camp, corporate partnerships, events, and awareness campaigns
• Develop social media posts, short-form videos, and written stories that strengthen chapter-wide visibility and reflect RMHCSC's mission and brand standards
• Capture authentic House experiences featuring families, volunteers, staff, and donors
• Develop engaging content that highlights the House's impact while supporting local fundraising, volunteer engagement, and community awareness initiatives
• Assist in maintaining the organization's social media presence through content scheduling, publishing, and monitoring engagement while ensuring consistent branding and messaging across platforms
• Support storytelling efforts that highlight families, corporate partners, volunteers, and chapter-wide initiatives through photography, videography, interviews, and written content
• Support the House's social media presence by creating and publishing content that promotes House activities, fundraising initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and community partnerships
• Share stories that celebrate the impact of the House while strengthening relationships with local donors, volunteers, and community partners
• Assist with chapter-wide email communications, including newsletters, fundraising campaigns, and stewardship communications using established templates and brand standards
• Coordinate the monthly House Happenings newsletter and assist with additional email communications supporting donor stewardship, volunteer engagement, and fundraising initiatives
• Capture content and provide communications to support fundraising events, corporate activations, awareness campaigns, and community outreach opportunities
• Assist in developing communications materials and digital content for fundraising initiatives, including the annual No Place Like Home Gala, volunteer events, and donor engagement activities
• Support the Communications Manager with marketing projects, website updates, digital asset organization, and other communications initiatives assigned
• Support the Director of Development with communications projects, collateral, and digital marketing efforts that advance the House's fundraising and community engagement goals

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years related work experience in a non-profit marketing and communications and/or development department
• Requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and time management skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, volunteers, donors, and the public
• Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a variety of constituent groups, including staff, board members, volunteers, and the general public
• Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Constant Contact
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel regularly throughout Southern California

• Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of fundraising events, community partnerships, and organizational activities
• Spanish speaking abilities is a plus
