Engineer III, Sr - Pipeline Safety

Williams is a Fortune 500 company focused on powering a cleaner, more connected future. As an Engineer III, Sr., you will conduct technical evaluations, performance testing, and ensure regulatory compliance for operations and projects in the pipeline safety domain.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts for a diverse range of sophisticated assignments requiring the use of experience, innovation and judgment
• May supervise the work of others
• Demonstrates technical expertise in a specialty, geographic area, or operational function and applies specialized knowledge in the effective completion of large-scope projects
• Prepares and delivers presentations
• Anticipates internal/external customer needs; assesses requirements and identifies solutions
• Interprets internal/external business challenges and improves products, processes or services
• Collaborates with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needs
• Champions processes, procedures and safety standards
• Monitors and controls costs and resources associated with projects
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• A minimum eight (8) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry
• Multiple years of experience leading interactions, primarily inspections, with PHMSA or state pipeline safety agencies covering pipeline safety regulations (49 CFR Parts 192 and/or 195)
• Comprehensive understanding of regulations and ability to interpret and revise applicable company procedures as regulations change overtime
• Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
• Proficiency in engineering specialties covering more than one subject area
• Minimum of 25% travel sometimes with minimal notice
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and minimum seven (7) years of progressive engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry and PE Certification
• Project Management experience
