ServiceNow Business Analyst

Guidehouse is a leading consulting firm, and they are seeking a ServiceNow Business Analyst to support their Platforms - ServiceNow team. The role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into user stories and functional specifications, and supporting the design and implementation of ServiceNow solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Business Analyst supporting the Platforms - ServiceNow team
• Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional partners to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for ServiceNow-related initiatives
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
• Support the design, implementation, and enhancement of ServiceNow solutions across the platform
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization
• Analyze current-state and future-state processes to recommend efficient, scalable solutions
• Work closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively
• Assist with testing activities, including test planning, execution support, and validation of delivered functionality
• Maintain documentation and help ensure project deliverables are aligned with business goals and technical standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• A MINIMUM of THREE (3) years of experience as a Business Analyst with exposure to ServiceNow
• Proven experience with hands on coding and scripting
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably supporting enterprise technology or ServiceNow implementations
• Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, requirements gathering, and process documentation
• Experience creating user stories, process flows, use cases, and acceptance criteria
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
• Location: Washington DC/Metro area highly preferred due to client location - up to 25% travel to Guidehouse or client office
• Direct experience with the ServiceNow platform and related modules
• Familiarity with ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, or other enterprise service management processes
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise transformation or platform upgrade initiatives
• Knowledge of testing, UAT coordination, or release management processes
• Certification in Business Analysis, Agile, or ServiceNow-related disciplines
