Common Criteria Security Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Common Criteria Security Engineer for a client in the cybersecurity and technology industry located on the East Coast of the United States. The role focuses on guiding security product evaluations and certification efforts, ensuring compliance with the European Common Criteria framework.

Responsibilities:

• Guide security product evaluations and certification efforts in alignment with the European Common Criteria (CC) framework
• Develop, review, and maintain security documentation including Security Targets, design specifications, and supporting evidence artifacts
• Partner with software development, quality assurance, and product teams to integrate Common Criteria requirements throughout the development lifecycle
• Conduct security assessments, gap analyses, and remediation planning to ensure compliance with certification standards
• Coordinate with external laboratories and stakeholders to facilitate successful certification reviews and audits

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of experience in security engineering, software engineering, or a related discipline
• Hands-on knowledge of the European Common Criteria (CC) framework and certification processes
• Experience creating or reviewing technical security documentation and compliance artifacts
• Strong understanding of secure software development practices, system security concepts, and risk assessment methodologies
