KPG99 INC is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Google BigQuery and data engineering practices. The role involves managing production data platforms, building data transformation frameworks, and ensuring data quality while collaborating with distributed teams.
Responsibilities:
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering with strong ownership of production data platforms and pipelines
- MUST HAVE hands-on experience with Google BigQuery for data warehousing, modeling, optimization, and analytics
- Strong experience using dbt to build, maintain, and scale data transformation frameworks
- Expert-level SQL skills and deep understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and warehouse design
- Experience building and maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines using tools such as Fivetran or similar ingestion platforms
- Experience supporting finance, revenue, accounting, or operational reporting workflows
- Strong understanding of data quality, testing, validation, monitoring, and platform reliability best practices
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and improve data accuracy across multiple systems
- Ability to operate independently in a highly autonomous environment while coordinating with globally distributed teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with customer segmentation, support tiering, or operational analytics initiatives
- Experience supporting data platforms across multiple products or business units
- Familiarity with analytics and BI tools such as GoodData, Metabase, or similar reporting platforms
- Experience mentoring engineers and serving as a senior technical contributor within a small team environment
