Senior Software Engineer

Relativity is a leading legal data intelligence company building technology that helps users organize data, discover the truth, and act on it with confidence. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Discovery team, you will design and implement high-performance systems that leverage AI to support legal workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and operate the next generation of AI-driven, scalable, high-performance systems that process large volumes of data
• Work on secure, cloud-native solutions that support high-stakes legal workflows and operate at a significant scale
• Deliver complex solutions and own them end to end in production environments
• Raise engineering quality through design discussions, code reviews, and mentorship
• Ensure compliance, and continuously evolve our platform using cloud-native architectures, AI capabilities, and modern developer tooling

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on cloud-native or distributed systems
• Strong understanding of modern software design principles and cloud-native architectures
• Proven ability to deliver complex solutions and own them end to end in production environments
• Experience working with distributed multi-tenant systems
• Experience raising engineering quality through design discussions, code reviews, and mentorship
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, and incident response
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
• Experience building full-stack systems at scale using React and .NET
• Familiarity with performance tuning, scalability trade-offs, and secure-by-default design
• Experience working in high-scale or regulated environments
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
