MoneyGram is a global payments network built to move money across borders with speed, simplicity and trust. We’re looking for a Senior Director, Product Manager to lead MoneyGram Balance, our stablecoin-powered digital wallet, owning the vision, strategy, and end-to-end delivery of this innovative product.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own the multi-year vision, strategy, and roadmap for MoneyGram Balance, aligned to company growth objectives and to a fast-moving stablecoin and cross-border payments market
- Serve as the senior product leader and internal champion for Balance, building executive alignment and securing investment for a new product
- Work closely with the GM of MoneyGram Online, and finance, to manage the P&L for the product, balancing customer value, unit economics, and long-term platform extensibility
- Own the strategy and roadmap for the receiver experience, making it easy for recipients to access, hold, and use funds sent to their MoneyGram Balance
- Extend receiver features to every country MoneyGram serves, building on the current footprint of 150 countries and more than 150,000 monthly receivers
- Lead the merge of the receiver experience into Atlas, consolidating onto a single, extensible platform
- Continue to deepen engagement through new features such as bi-directional messaging
- Expand stored Balance across markets, with a near-term priority of LATAM countries, building on the US-to-Colombia and El Salvador launches
- Launch everyday spend, savings, and rewards on stored balances so customers hold and use their Balance beyond receiving a transfer
- Own the connection between stored balances and everyday payments, including the MoneyGram Card and bank transfers
- Lead the definition, delivery, and scaling of the stablecoin-connected MoneyGram Card, building on the first experiences shipped to Friends and Family testing
- Own the end-to-end card experience, including issuance, funding, spend controls, and the link between stablecoin balances and everyday spend
- Manage relationships with card issuers, networks, program managers, and stablecoin partners such as Rain, along with the other commercial third parties critical to delivery
- Be accountable for all aspects of the product, working closely with Compliance and Legal to navigate licensing, AML and KYC, and stablecoin regulatory requirements across markets
- Partner with Design to deliver an intuitive, trustworthy experience for customers’ money
- Manage commercial third parties, including stablecoin partners, card networks, and banking and payment providers, as core delivery partners
- Work closely with Marketing on go-to-market strategy, positioning, launch sequencing, and adoption for a new product
- Build and lead a global product team over time, hiring and developing Product Managers located in key markets such as LATAM, Africa, and APAC
- Set the operating model, standards, and ways of working for a distributed product organization spanning multiple regions and time zones
Requirements:
- 12 or more years of product management experience, including significant time leading fintech, payments, wallet, card, or crypto and stablecoin products
- A track record of taking new products from concept to launch and scale, ideally in regulated financial services
- Experience managing and growing product teams, including managers or senior individual contributors, ideally across geographies
- Strong experience working with Compliance, Legal, and Risk on regulated products, treating regulation as a design constraint to work within
- Commercial acumen and hands-on experience managing third-party partners such as card networks, issuers, and stablecoin or banking providers
- A close working relationship with Marketing on go-to-market, with an understanding that launching a new product depends as much on adoption as on build
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to align leadership and bring cross-functional teams together
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, with the judgment to know when to test and when to scale
