Mechanical Engineer (Sustaining Engineering Support)

Beacon Hill is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a high-priority engineering remediation project for a leading medical device manufacturer. This role will focus on updating engineering drawings, supporting change control activities, and ensuring documentation is accurate and compliant with established quality systems.

Responsibilities:

• Review engineering redlines and update drawings, specifications, and related documentation
• Process engineering changes through document control and change control workflows
• Create and revise engineering drawings using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software
• Support remediation efforts by adding missing tolerances, specifications, and required documentation updates
• Route and track engineering change orders through approval and release processes
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and R&D teams
• Ensure documentation complies with company procedures and quality requirements
• Maintain accurate technical records and engineering files
• Support product improvement and sustaining engineering initiatives
• Participate in investigatory activities, documentation reviews, and technical discussions as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Experience working with engineering drawings and technical documentation
• SolidWorks or equivalent CAD experience
• Experience supporting document control, engineering change orders, or change control processes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams
• Experience in medical devices or other regulated industries such as aerospace, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing
• Familiarity with quality systems and engineering documentation processes
• Experience supporting design remediation or sustaining engineering projects
• Understanding of engineering change management and document release workflows
• Experience with prototyping, 3D printing, machine shop tools, or product testing
