Tableau Data Visualization Engineer

They are seeking a Tableau Data Visualization Engineer to deliver high-quality Tableau dashboards and visual analytics solutions that enable self-service analytics and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop compelling data visualizations that narrate stories about data and business KPIs
• Design, develop, and deploy Tableau reports and dashboards that provide key insights into business performance
• Create and maintain complex Tableau data models, integrating data from multiple sources
• Leverage SQL to extract, manipulate, and validate data for unit testing, troubleshooting, and to ensure the quality of Tableau dashboards and reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions
• Monitor and troubleshoot Tableau Dashboard issues and data refresh schedules to ensure consistent performance
• Implement security measures and ensure data is presented to the appropriate audience through role-based access
• Continuously improve the usability, interactivity, and performance of reports
• Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau usage

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required
• 5+ years of experience as a BI Visualization Engineer or a similar role, with exclusive use of Tableau for data visualization tools
• Experience with BI Governance best practices is necessary
• Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Tableau Desktop, and Tableau Prep
• A solid understanding of database management, ETL processes, and Agile Development Practices is also required
• Experience with Cloud Native BI Tools (Tableau+) is expected
• Experience with Cloud Native BI Architecture and UI/UX Design practices
• Knowledge of the workers' compensation insurance industry
• Familiarity with SAFe is a major plus
