VARITE INC is a global staffing and IT consulting company, and they are seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to support a large-scale healthcare platform. The role involves designing, building, and managing Kubernetes-based workloads on AWS, as well as implementing CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and ensuring system security and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and manage AWS‐based Kubernetes platforms
- Own end‐to‐end Kubernetes cluster operations (EKS)
- Implement and enhance CI/CD and IaC automation
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of platforms
- Drive DevOps and SRE best practices
- Support healthcare workloads with strong security and compliance controls
- Collaborate closely with application, security, and architecture teams
Requirements:
- CKA – Certified Kubernetes Administrator (Active & Valid) – MUST HAVE
- Strong hands‐on experience managing production‐grade Kubernetes clusters (minimum 3–4 years)
- Expertise in Kubernetes architecture, scheduling, networking, and storage
- Cluster provisioning, upgrades, patching, and scaling
- Troubleshooting pod, node, and cluster‐level issues
- Hands‐on with EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)
- Helm charts, Kustomize
- Kubernetes RBAC, secrets, config maps
- Deep experience with Docker and container lifecycle management
- Extensive experience designing and operating workloads on AWS
- Strong hands‐on with EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM
- ALB/NLB, Auto Scaling
- S3, EBS, EFS
- CloudWatch, CloudTrail
- Good understanding of AWS networking, security, and cost optimization
- Strong hands‐on experience with Terraform (mandatory)
- Experience in writing reusable Terraform modules
- Managing multi‐environment infrastructure (Dev/Test/Prod)
- Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Hands‐on with tools such as Jenkins / GitLab CI / GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps
- Strong Git practices (branching, PRs, release strategies)
- Automated build, test, security scan, and deployment pipelines
- Experience implementing image scanning, vulnerability management
- Secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager / Vault)
- Knowledge of Kubernetes security best practices
- IAM, least‐privilege access, network policies
- Hands‐on experience with Prometheus, Grafana
- ELK / OpenSearch
- Setting up logging, monitoring, alerting, and SRE‐style dashboards
- Experience with incident management and production support
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Python / Bash / Shell
- Ability to automate operational and deployment workflows
- 9–12 years of overall IT experience
- Strong production support mindset with ownership attitude
- Experience working in Agile / DevOps delivery models
- Strong communication skills for client interactions
- Cross‐functional collaboration (Security, App, Infra teams)
- AWS certifications (DevOps Engineer / Solutions Architect) – Good to have
- CloudFormation exposure is a plus
- Exposure to healthcare‐grade compliance (HIPAA, PHI security) is a strong plus
