Senior Data Analyst (Business Intelligence Requirements Lead – FP&A)

Procom is a staffing company seeking a Senior Data Analyst for a financial services client. The role involves leading Business Intelligence requirements within the Finance organization and acting as a liaison between FP&A stakeholders and BI development teams.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with FP&A stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for BI and analytics solutions
• Translate complex financial planning concepts into technical requirements
• Serve as the primary bridge between business users and BI development teams
• Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops and stakeholder interviews
• Develop and maintain comprehensive business and functional requirements documentation
• Partner with Power BI developers to ensure dashboards and reports meet business expectations
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Utilize SQL and Python for data analysis and validation
• Promote best practices in requirements management and BI solution delivery

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of FP&A experience within banking or financial services
• Strong understanding of financial planning processes
• Hands-on experience with Power BI and business intelligence reporting solutions
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing data
• Working knowledge of Python for data analysis
• Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical specifications
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
• Experience with financial regulatory reporting
• Advanced knowledge of data validation and quality assurance techniques
• Proven ability to work effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams
• Experience facilitating workshops in complex financial environments
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on financial data and BI solution delivery
