Cognizant is a leading digital services company, and they are seeking a Data Integration Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data integration solutions. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that support enterprise-wide data movement and analytics initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data integration pipelines using Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC), including Mass Ingestion, Application Ingestion, Data Integration, Taskflows, and API Integration
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT solutions that ingest, transform, and deliver data to AWS Redshift and other enterprise platforms
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline issues while driving long-term improvements in reliability, scalability, and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable integration solutions and data workflows
- Support DevOps and deployment processes by leveraging version control, CI/CD practices, change management procedures, and environment promotion standards
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing ETL/data integration solutions
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Data Management Cloud (IDMC)
- Strong expertise with IDMC components, including Data Integration, Mass Ingestion, Application Ingestion, Taskflows, and API-based integrations
- Experience working with AWS data services, preferably Amazon Redshift, including SQL development, DDL/DML, and stored procedures
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes
- Strong understanding of cloud-based data architecture, integration patterns, and scalable data engineering practices
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and support production-grade ETL and data integration environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JMS messaging, event-driven architectures, or service-oriented integration patterns
- Experience implementing enterprise data solutions in regulated environments such as insurance, financial services, or other compliance-driven industries
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services beyond Redshift and their integration within modern data ecosystems
- Experience evaluating and implementing new IDMC features, connectors, agents, and platform enhancements
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience contributing to integration standards, reusable frameworks, and data engineering best practices
