Senior Business Analyst Finance Technology

The Senior Business Analyst Finance Technology engages with Finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into system changes and develop efficiencies, while also providing project management support for Finance technology initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct interviews and facilitate group sessions with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements as well as change management. Provide consultative support to stakeholders to help them to achieve desired changes and outcomes
• Document and manage requirements traceability matrix and confirm solution meets requirements
• Utilize modeling techniques to produce diagrams, and models that illustrate system and data relationships, and business process flows for both current and future states
• Analyze the business requirements and validate potential solutions/approaches with business and finance technical staff to identify potential improvements in functionality and processes, and ways that technology can help to achieve organizational goals
• Perform the project manager role in conjunction with the business analyst role on appropriately sized requests or projects to ensure all project tasks are planned and executed based on the project requirements. This includes guiding and supporting the transition of solutions from a development to a production/operational status
• Support business and technical partners in all aspects of testing including test script development, acceptance criteria, integration testing, test data creation, user acceptance testing, etc
• Proactively facilitate conversations between functional and technical teams to ensure common and thorough understanding of business needs and solution capabilities to achieve better outcomes
• As needed participate in dialog with vendors and SNHU staff to understand vendor solutions and obligations, confirm vendor offerings, and monitor vendor performance towards SNHU requirements
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

• 7+ years experience in business process management, project management or business process analysis
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or related field
• Experience in relevant Finance, IT, or business domain role(s)
• Experience with current technology, business applications, and data models used for finance functional transactions, operations and business reporting
• Experience with cloud-based environments such as Workday, ServiceNow
• Project management experience and familiarity with project management methodologies
• Analysis skills with experience implementing complex solutions balancing cost-benefit, security, extensibility, interoperability, manageability, and other key organizational considerations
• Distinctive blend of business, technical, analytical, and exceptional communication and leadership skills
• Deep understanding of software/system development lifecycle and integration
• Understand interdependencies between business systems transactional and data models to propose system changes and troubleshoot production issues which impact business operations
