About this role

Harper Harrison is a rapidly growing energy infrastructure developer delivering utility-scale thermal power generation projects across the US. They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to act as the owner's technical lead across the design, procurement, EPC execution, and commissioning of large-scale gas turbine power plants.

Responsibilities:

Lead mechanical engineering activities across utility-scale gas turbine power generation projects
Provide owner's engineering oversight from project development through EPC execution, commissioning and operations
Review gas turbine packages and balance-of-plant mechanical systems
Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants and multidisciplinary engineering teams
Review technical documentation including equipment specifications, PFDs and P&IDs
Support equipment selection, procurement and technical bid evaluations
Participate in FATs, SATs, commissioning and performance testing
Support regulatory compliance, technical risk reviews and plant performance optimization

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
MIN 5 years' experience delivering gas turbine power generation projects
Experience working for an EPC, OEM, engineering consultancy or owner/operator
Strong understanding of gas turbine auxiliary systems and balance-of-plant equipment
Experience managing engineering interfaces across multiple stakeholders
PE License
Experience with battery energy storage (BESS)
Combined-cycle power generation experience
