System Administrator & DevOps Engineer

TechLyncs is looking for a System Administrator & DevOps Engineer to support their e-commerce platforms and web development initiatives. The role requires hands-on experience with PHP and various e-commerce systems, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with international clients.

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on professional experience on PHP (Core/MVC) as well as on any open-source e-commerce platform like Magento (not just themes, module development and advance level customization and performance tuning)
• Must have good concepts of OOP, Databases, MVC patterns with excellent English communication, problem solving, logic building and PHP based web development skills
• Should have experience of working with large scale ECommerce applications with the capability of managing thousands of products and large number of client base
• Must be capable enough to work independently / without supervision with clients based in the US and European regions
• Experience with any of PHP Frameworks (Yii, Zend2, Laravel4/Laravel5) is a plus
• Must be willing to work in the different timezone than home country
• Understanding of Magento’s code structure, extension architecture, theme hierarchy, and fallback components
• Knowledge of developing marketing oriented ECommerce systems to increase sales is a big plus
• Experience with other E-Commerce systems like openCart/osCommerce/shopify/BigCommerce is beneficial
• Excellent English written and verbal skills
• Strong knowledge of how the web works, networking, and software products
• Ability to take ownership of technical issues while working with our Development teams to resolve more advanced issues
• Must be able to document troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
• Knowledge of Windows 10, Linux and general desktop support issues
• Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, Domain Environment, Firewalls and other networking concepts
• Strong knowledge of internet protocols such as SSH, FTP, SFTP, HTTP/HTTPS
• Knowledge of Cloud Computing such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure & Google GCP
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools is a plus
• Knowledge of Monitoring tools such as Nagios & Zabbix
• Knowledge of Virtualization & Containers
• Experience and outstanding knowledge of Ruby on Rails framework
• Must have a strong foundation in REST API's and XML
• Familiar with web services
• Used well known ruby gems and plug-ins
• Experience in agile- test driven development process
• Exceptional MySQL skills
• Expert in Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (JQuery) and DIV based layouts
• In-depth knowledge of OOP and practices
• Familiar with web standards
• Experience in Linux, Apache and webrick based working environment
• Must have good English communication skills
• Must be capable enough to work independently/without supervision with clients based in the US and European regions
