Data Center Network Engineer

RYZ Labs is a startup studio built in 2021, seeking a Data Center Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate high-availability network fabrics. The role involves maintaining network performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing security measures.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain data center networks and interconnects
• Monitor network performance/capacity; optimize to meet uptime and latency targets
• Troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and packet loss; perform RCA and remediation
• Implement network security and segmentation (ACLs, firewalls, microsegmentation)
• Automate provisioning and configuration (Ansible/Python); maintain documentation
• Plan and execute changes, upgrades, and lifecycle management with minimal downtime

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in CS/EE/IT or equivalent experience
• 4+ years in data center networking
• Strong routing/switching: BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, ECMP, IPv4/IPv6, QoS
• Proficient with monitoring and NetOps tools (e.g., NetBox, SolarWinds, sFlow/SNMP, Grafana)
• Scripting/automation (Python, Ansible) and version control (Git)
• On-call rotation required
• Experience with spine–leaf, BGP/EVPN/VXLAN preferred
• Hands-on with Cisco/Arista/Juniper; experience with ACI or EVPN fabrics; LB/firewalls a plus
• Certifications a plus: CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP, Arista ACE
