Afresh is an AI platform focused on grocery, aiming to reduce food waste and improve decision-making for grocers. The Product Designer for the Ordering team will own the end-to-end design experience of a web application used by corporate grocery replenishment users, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create AI-driven, user-friendly solutions. This role directly contributes to reducing food waste and delivering business value through innovative design.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end design for a web application for corporate users who own the grocery replenishment function, spanning ordering, exceptions, configuration, and performance
- Design reporting, insights, and performance dashboards, from table stakes today toward conversational, AI-powered analytics
- Design exception-based workflows and controls (ordering, display size, configuration, order policy tuning) that let corporate users manage operations without technical depth
- Shape agentic and conversational experiences that surface AI-powered insights to less-technical customers
- Own shared portal services UX (admin, permissions, authorization, multi-role) that no single team owns today
- Build reusable components and keep UX consistent across portal surfaces
- Ship quickly with the Ordering product and engineering teams using modern AI-assisted tools, and partner with design leadership on cross-product coherence
Requirements:
- Senior-level product design experience shipping customer-facing software with measurable outcomes
- Deep enterprise SaaS experience, navigating complex systems and multiple tiers of users
- Product-minded with engineering overlap, comfortable building directly in code rather than handing off static mockups. We think of this as a 'design-focused PM or product-focused designer with engineering depth.'
- Strong systems thinking: reusable patterns and coherent navigation across products and surfaces
- Comfort with modern, AI-assisted tooling for exploration, prototyping, and synthesis. Experience with rapidly creating prototypes using generative coding tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration across product, engineering, and design
- Experience designing for AI-powered products: conversational interfaces, anomaly detection, and agentic workflows
- Experience designing multi-role, permissions-based, or hierarchical enterprise experiences
