Global Science & Technology, Inc is seeking an Education Program Evaluation Specialist to support NOAA's F. Hollings Undergraduate Ernest Scholarship Program and the Educational Partnership Program with Minority Serving Institutions. The role involves monitoring and evaluating NOAA's education programs, providing expert guidance on evaluation, and ensuring compliance with federal evaluation requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of duties associated with the monitoring and evaluation of NOAA's education programs
- Provides expert advice and guidance on evaluation to educators, program managers, and leadership
- Ensures that NOAA education evaluation efforts are continually informed by best practices and latest advancements in the field of evaluation
- Ensures that NOAA education evaluation efforts are compliant with federal requirements for evaluation and performance management
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Education Evaluation or a related degree
- 2-4 years of experience in conducting evaluations of education programs; planning and implementing evaluation systems for large organizations or agencies; and with the development of logic models for education programming
- Experience with portfolio analysis of diverse education program offerings including grants, educator professional development and training, and educational outreach programs; with implementing best practices in evaluation of formal and informal science education; and with design and implementation of various evaluation methodologies and survey techniques in formal and informal science education settings
- Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods and analysis techniques
