Sr DevOps Engineer

Kopius is seeking a senior, hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and support a long-term engagement with a leading financial services and wealth management organization. You will help design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that power business-critical platforms in a highly regulated, security-conscious environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, with a focus on reliability, security, and cost efficiency
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines that support multiple application teams, with strong release-management discipline
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability across cloud workloads and applications
• Partner with application teams on deployment strategies, environment provisioning, and platform integration
• Champion security and compliance best practices across infrastructure, pipelines, and secrets management — appropriate for a regulated financial services environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, contributing to root cause analysis and long-term reliability improvements
• Automate repetitive operational tasks through scripting and tooling to reduce toil and improve developer velocity
• Document infrastructure, pipelines, and operational runbooks to enable knowledge sharing across the team
• Collaborate with security, architecture, and engineering teams to align on standards and platform decisions

• 7+ years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, or cloud platform engineering experience, with at least 3 years operating in enterprise or regulated environments
• Strong, hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform — Azure preferred, AWS or GCP considered
• Hands-on proficiency with Infrastructure as Code — Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation, or equivalent
• Strong experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent)
• Working experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS/EKS)
• Proficiency with scripting and automation — PowerShell, Bash, Python
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Splunk, Azure Monitor, Prometheus/Grafana, or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of Git, branching strategies, and modern source-control workflows
• Working knowledge of networking, identity/access management, and cloud security fundamentals
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Prior experience in financial services, banking, or other regulated industries
• Familiarity with secrets management tools (Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)
• Experience with service mesh, API gateways, or distributed-system patterns
