Staff Software Engineer, Developer Relations

SailPoint Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Staff Developer Relations Engineer to serve as a technical anchor for their developer platform enablement. The role involves architecting developer tooling, maintaining API governance standards, and leading developer community initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of core developer SDKs, CLI tools, and extensibility patterns
• Design and lead interactive technical livestreams, deliver presentations at developer events, and create reference architectures
• Work closely with Product Managers and Core Engineering leaders to represent community trends, communicate developer telemetry, and influence the core API architecture
• Set code quality, testing, and documentation standards for all community developer-facing code repositories and open-source contributions

Requirements:

• 8–10+ years of experience in software engineering, API design, or developer-focused engineering
• Strong expertise in building open-source SDKs, API generators, and developer CLI tools
• Outstanding customer-facing skills with the ability to confidently navigate complex architectural discussions with external stakeholders
• Experience with React, Typescript, GoLang, Python, PowerShell, and more
• Knowledge of the Identity Security Landscape, including experience implementing SailPoint solutions
• Exceptional technical communication skills, with a track record of running developer-facing video content, livestreams, or community events
• Familiarity with leveraging Generative AI tools
