This role involves driving analysis and recommendations for the Going, Going, Gone! Merchandising team, leveraging data to optimize inventory procurement and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze performance of current assortment and recommend actions at the brand, product category and item level
- Develop and implement sell thru monitoring processes that identify athlete choices that we should be re-ordering and recommends quantities informed by performance
- Monitor and report on inventory turnover rates, identifying slow-moving inventory and working with the team to develop strategies for liquidation
- Develop and maintain detailed reports that track inventory performance across all locations providing insights into product performance and inventory health. Share findings and recommendations with the merchant team to influence next steps
- Produce business category hind sights that identify future opportunities, that informs business strategies and supports future seasons buying process
- Support the seasonal financial plan process to ensure inventory receipts are being optimized in conjunction with the work of the planning team
- Assist in assortment planning process by analyzing prior seasons buys and recommending opportunities to optimize receipt timing, assortment tiering, missed sales and customer choice counts
- Conduct Category and Sku Rationalization analysis to inform buying decisions by category. Work closely with the merchandising team to leverage these findings in making purchasing decisions
- Develop and maintain seasonal merchandise plans that reflect sales goals, trends, and market conditions, ensuring the right product mix and assortment to meet customer demand
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, including current and historical sales performance, inventory levels, supplier lead times, and customer trends
- Create actionable reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to provide merchandising teams with insights into Going, Going, Gone! performance to support preseason planning and buying cycles
- Support pricing, assortment planning, and markdown strategies with data and trend analysis to optimize profitability
- Develop and deliver regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for category and chain performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Retail, Merchandising, Merch Planning, Demand Planning, or Allocations/Replenishment
