Senior Asset Development Engineer

Five9 is a leading provider of cloud contact center software, bringing the power of cloud innovation to customers worldwide. They are seeking a Senior Asset Development Engineer to join their Professional Services development team, focusing on rapid product development to enhance Five9's core offerings. The role requires strong software development skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver products in a rapid development cycle to augment and extend Five9 core product offerings
• Leverage modern development methodologies and tools that automate the definition, architecture, development, and delivery of software products
• Work in a team environment via web conferences and chat collaboration
• Be a self-starter, able to work independently while staying in sync with the rest of the team

Requirements:

• Strong software development background. Experience working with end-to-end tool chains including project definition and organization, source control, linting, test automation
• Recent experience with Jira, Confluence, Visual Studio Code, Git
• Expert in: JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, Node.js
• Proficient in: Typescript, Nest.js, VueJS
• Toolchain: Visual Studio Code, Jira, Confluence, Git
• An understanding of cloud-based software development considerations and architectures (Google Cloud, AWS, etc.) and web-based API interfaces (SOAP, REST, AJAX, WebSockets, etc.)
• Familiarity with unix based command line shell usage
• Knowledge of Contact Center technologies a plus
• 5+ years experience in application or integration software development. Application development related to Computer-Telephony Integration (CTI) with systems such as Cisco ICM/UCCE, Genesys, or Avaya is a plus
• 3+ years development experience in web-based applications (HTML5, JavaScript) and associated frameworks such as ReactJS, VueJS, Angular, SASS, PostCSS, jQuery, Marionette, Backbone, Bootstrap, Foundation, etc
• 1+ years experience with web application hosting services such as Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, and self-hosted Node.js services
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience is required
