Loman AI is transforming the restaurant industry with its AI-powered voice platform. They are seeking a VP of Finance to build and oversee the financial systems that will support strategic decisions and fundraising as the company scales from Series A and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Own the company’s financial model, annual plan, rolling forecast, and long-range planning
- Maintain real-time visibility into revenue, expenses, cash, burn, runway, and hiring capacity
- Build scenario models that help leadership make faster decisions about growth, pricing, hiring, and capital allocation
- Establish clear operating targets and hold teams accountable to budgets and financial outcomes
- Develop a strong point of view on the financial tradeoffs behind company strategy
- Create a single source of truth for ARR, MRR, retention, expansion, churn, CAC, payback, gross margin, and burn efficiency
- Analyze unit economics by customer segment, restaurant type, acquisition channel, product, and location count
- Build visibility into telephony, AI infrastructure, payment, onboarding, support, and integration costs
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to improve pricing, packaging, margins, and capital efficiency
- Translate financial and operating data into clear recommendations for the leadership team
- Own the quality and timeliness of the monthly close
- Oversee accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax, insurance, and outside finance partners
- Build scalable controls, approval processes, purchasing policies, and expense management systems
- Ensure revenue recognition, commissions, deferred revenue, and customer contracts are handled accurately
- Prepare the company for audits, diligence, and increasing reporting complexity
- Know when to bring work in-house and when outside specialists are the better answer
- Lead the financial preparation for future fundraising processes
- Own the data room, financial diligence, investor requests, scenario analysis, and supporting materials
- Prepare board reporting and help turn operating results into a clear financial narrative
- Maintain accurate investor reporting and support the CEO in investor and board communications
- Manage the cap table, option planning, 409A process, and equity administration with legal and external partners
- Act as a direct strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team
- Bring financial rigor to hiring, compensation, pricing, enterprise deals, vendor negotiations, and new initiatives
- Help functional leaders understand their numbers and make better resource-allocation decisions
- Identify financial and operational risks before they become company problems
- Build a culture where teams understand the economic impact of their decisions
- Design the finance technology stack and automate repetitive finance workflows
- Improve data quality across finance, CRM, billing, payroll, banking, and operating systems
- Build dashboards that give leadership clear, current visibility into company performance
- Determine the right finance team structure as Loman scales
- Recruit and develop a high-performing internal finance organization over time
