(VCAP) - VKS Specialist (Kubernetes Platform Engineer)

Georgia IT, Inc. is seeking an experienced VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) – VKS specialist to support enterprise clients with Kubernetes platforms. The role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing Kubernetes solutions within VMware Cloud Foundation environments while leading client-facing consulting activities.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Kubernetes solutions using VMware Kubernetes Services (VKS) and VMware Tanzu technologies
• Develop scalable, secure, and highly available container platform architectures
• Assess client requirements and provide recommendations for cloud-native platform adoption
• Deploy, configure, and support Kubernetes clusters within VMware Cloud Foundation environments
• Perform upgrades, migrations, lifecycle management, and integration activities
• Conduct troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization
• Lead architecture reviews, technical workshops, and client advisory sessions
• Develop design documents, implementation plans, operational runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams

Requirements:

• VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Administrator VKS 9.0 (Required)
• Strong experience with: VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
• Strong experience with: VMware Tanzu
• Strong experience with: Kubernetes Administration
• Strong experience with: VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
• Strong experience with: VMware NSX and vSAN
• Strong experience with: Linux Administration
• Strong experience with: Hybrid Cloud Technologies
• Demonstrated ability to independently design and implement complex Kubernetes-based solutions
• Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills
• DevOps and GitOps methodology experience
• Platform Engineering experience
• CI/CD pipeline integration
• Public Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Enterprise-scale Kubernetes deployments
