WellLife Network is one of New York’s largest nonprofit health and human services organizations, dedicated to empowering individuals and families. They are seeking a Healthcare Data Integration Engineer to design, develop, and maintain API integrations and data workflows for their Behavioral Health organization, ensuring seamless integration between various systems and enhancing their data infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain secure API integrations between internal systems and external vendors
- Build and optimize data pipelines for data lake and data warehouse environments
- Develop and maintain Qlik scripts and data models for analytics and reporting
- Work with JSON data structures for API integrations and data transformations
- Write complex SQL and JavaScript queries and optimize database performance
- Develop automation workflows using Microsoft Power Automate and Power Fx
- Collaborate with IT, EHR, and leadership teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare data security standards
- Troubleshoot integration failures and implement proactive monitoring solutions
- Maintain technical documentation for integrations and automation processes
Requirements:
- Must be NYS resident for in-person accessibility
- Minimum 3 years of experience in API development and system integrations
- Minimum 3 years of experience in SQL database development
- Minimum 3 years of experience in JSON data structures
- Minimum 3 years of experience in JavaScript
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Qlik scripting and data modeling
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft Power Automate / Power Fx
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with data lakes and AWS data warehouse environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, Healthcare Informatics or related technical field
- Equivalent practical experience (3–5+ years hands-on experience in API integrations and data engineering)
