Software & Security Engineer (RMF / ATO)

Professional Prompt Services LLC is seeking a junior Software & Security Engineer to support application development and security accreditation efforts for a cloud-based platform. The role combines software engineering, cybersecurity, and RMF/ATO compliance tasks, focusing on developing cloud-native applications and ensuring security compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to development of cloud-native applications (Vue.js, Node.js, C#, TypeScript)
• Support RMF/ATO documentation and compliance tasks
• Assist with security implementation and vulnerability remediation
• Work in Docker/Docker Swarm environments
• Collaborate with engineers on feature development
• Help maintain systems deployed in AWS or Azure
• Participate in client-facing support activities as you grow

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in software development or cybersecurity
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, or C#
• Exposure to AWS or Azure
• Understanding of secure coding practices
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis
• Exposure to RMF, ATO, NIST, or compliance frameworks
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have a current Secret Security Clearance
• Experience with Vue.js
• Docker/container experience
• DevSecOps exposure
• Interest in government or regulated environments
