Cardinal Health is a leading healthcare services and products company, and they are seeking a Project Manager for Real Estate Development. This role involves supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of real estate and construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget while providing administrative support to senior team members.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Senior Project Managers in the development and execution of real estate and construction projects
- Manage small projects and minor facility improvements from initiation through closeout under supervision
- Coordinate project documentation including schedules, budgets, meeting notes, and status reports
- Support the preparation of preliminary budgets, cost estimates, and capital approval materials
- Track project progress, timelines, and expenditures; flag risks or variances to senior team members
- Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, Security, EH&S, Quality, Operations) and external partners (architects, contractors, consultants)
- Assist with bid processes, vendor coordination, and contract documentation
- Maintain organized project files, drawings, and records
- Participate in project meetings and help document action items and follow-ups
- Support site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure alignment with project requirements
- Build working relationships with internal clients and external vendors
- Leverage digital tools, automation, and emerging AI capabilities to improve project tracking, reporting, and team efficiency
- Assist in developing or enhancing internal tools, dashboards, or workflows (e.g., Excel models, Power BI, simple scripts, or low-code solutions) to streamline project management processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or equivalent work experience
- 1– 5 years of experience in construction project coordination, facilities, or real estate development
- Basic understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and building systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow within the field
- Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to project sites as needed
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project or similar tools
- Exposure to AutoCAD or design tools
- Familiarity with data analysis, automation, or emerging AI tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate, Copilot, or similar platforms)
- Basic coding or scripting experience (e.g., Python, VBA, SQL, or low-code platforms) with interest in applying these skills to improve team processes
