Network and Security Architect/Engineer

Maverick Technology Partners is looking for a Network and Security Architect/Engineer to design modern network architecture with work-from-anywhere and BYOD requirements. The role involves managing enterprise LAN deployments, implementing logging and monitoring infrastructure, and ensuring compliance-related remediation on the network side.

Responsibilities:

• Design modern SASE/ZTNA network architecture for the campus with work-from-anywhere and BYOD requirements
• Manage enterprise LAN deployment — rack, configure, patch, document
• Eliminate unmanaged switching; extend visibility to LAN edge
• Address compliance-related remediation items on the network side
• Assess current environment and recommend best-value SIEM/logging platform
• Implement real-time event logging across servers, network, SaaS, and endpoints
• Build monitoring for core metrics: servers, network, power, environmental — with automated alerting and remediation
• Integrate across all existing network, server, IaaS, and SaaS platforms
• Evaluate AI-driven capabilities for event correlation and remediation

Requirements:

• SASE/ZTNA architecture experience
• Enterprise LAN + wifi configuration and deployment experience
• Network architecture (TCP/IP, VLANs, segmentation, firewalls)
• Compliance framework exposure (e.g., PCI-DSS or similar)
• SIEM/log platform buildout experience
• Ability to assess an environment and make architectural decisions independently
• Comfortable with physical infrastructure work (racking, cabling, patching)
• Ability to work collaboratively with permanent staff in planning, knowledge transfer, and documentation
• SASE platform experience (e.g., Cato Networks, Palo Alto Prisma, or similar)
• Azure/IaaS familiarity
• PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform
