About this role
Role: Middleware Engineer
Location: Cary, NC (Onsite)
Note : Middleware Engineer with OpenShift experience (Expert: IIB/MQ, Competent: Openshift)
Primary Skills:
- Experience in WMQ/IBM MQ with MQ clustering, Gateway connections, client connections to queue managers.
- Experience in WMB 8, IIB 10 and ACE 12.
- MQ/IIB Migration experience.
- Experience in workload migration from Middleware WMB to OpenShift
- Solid working experience in WMB and OpenShift
- Hands on experience on IBM Cloud Pak for Integration deployment over RedHat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
- Good knowledge of Linux Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and deployment of containerized applications/microservices architectures
Good to have
- Knowledge of CI/CD methodology and tooling (Jenkins, Harness)
- Experience with system configuration tools including Ansible, Chef
- Cluster maintenance and administration experience on OpenShift and Kubernetes
- Development and maintenance in operational condition of OpenShift, Kubernetes orchestral container platforms
- Perform Root Cause Analysis and produce reports for critical issues
- Experience in OpenShift implementation, administration, and support
- Strong Knowledge & Experience in RHEL Linux
- Manage OpenShift Management Components and Tenants
- Participates as part of a technical team responsible for the overall support and management of the OpenShift Container Platform.
