This is not a Data Engineer or AI/ML Engineer role. It's a Governance/Metadata Engineering role focused on making enterprise data and AI assets well-governed, discoverable, compliant, and operationally efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Alation Data Catalog and governance workflows.
• Manage metadata, business glossary, data lineage, classifications, and governance policies.
• Support AI governance, compliance, data quality, and audit readiness.
• Configure AWS services including Glue, S3, Athena, IAM, and Lake Formation.
• Develop Python scripts to automate metadata collection, reporting, and governance tasks.
• Build integrations using REST APIs and support enterprise data catalog initiatives.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage work items in Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Collaborate with data engineering, security, cloud, analytics, and business teams to improve governance and operational efficiency.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of Data Governance / AI Governance / Metadata Management
• 2+ years of Alation Administration
• Experience with AWS Glue, S3, Athena, IAM, Lake Formation
• Strong Python scripting and automation
• SQL and REST API experience
• Azure DevOps (ADO)
• Metadata management, data lineage, enterprise data catalogs
• Understanding of governance, compliance, and cloud data platforms
