IP Recruiter Group is recruiting for a Patent Agent or Patent Engineer position. The role involves supporting patent procurement and conducting technical assessments related to patent portfolio management.

Responsibilities:

• Work with patent agents, patent attorneys and engineers in support of patent procurement, competitive landscape analysis, technical aspects of patent portfolio assessments pertaining to patent licensing, litigation, acquisition, divestiture, and due diligence issues
• Perform patent mapping, searches and technical assessments of employed and/or patented technologies for a wide variety of legal opinions (infringement, validity, patentability, right-to-use)

Requirements:

• Minimum B.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or Computer Science, and applied engineering experience relating to computer systems and engineering
• Experience relating to enterprise web and mobile security solutions, real-time threat prevention and related code analysis, firewall systems, WiFi, and telecommunications technologies
• Direct experience participating in the full patent procurement lifecycle
• Passed or begun to prepare for the USPTO agent exam
• USPTO license for Patent Agent
• Experience preparing and prosecuting at least 10 patent applications
