About this role
Rever is a company focused on changing the world through innovative technology solutions. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to product features, automation, and microservices development while mentoring less experienced developers.
Responsibilities:

- A mentor who is capable of guiding the technical development of less experienced developers at the functional and component architectural levels
- A professional who can advocate strongly for positions and still be 100% behind team decisions even if they don't go your way
- Comfortable balancing the need to move fast with the realities of working in a highly regulated space like payments
- Picks up new technology and switches between tech stacks with a minimum of fuss
- Comfortable working on front-end web code, back-end services, data stores, and infrastructure systems
- A solid engineer with the desire and ability to learn how to design scalable, maintainable, and resilient modern software architectures
- Has experience writing modern software deployed in the cloud
- Comfortable with encryption schemes, modern APIs, and front-end frameworks
- Has worked on agile teams to deliver software iteratively

- Significant and demonstrable development experience
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python
- Demonstrable experience developing internal/external web services
- Demonstrable experience writing well-formed unit, component, and integration tests, with an in-depth understanding of the test pyramid
- BDD knowledge
- Demonstrable working understanding of at least one modern web framework (e.g., React, Node.js/Express, or similar)
- Demonstrable working understanding of NoSQL and SQL datastores
- Experience building/enhancing development pipelines
- Experience with IaC (infrastructure as code), containerization, and Kubernetes
- Can demonstrate critical thinking skills through past accomplishments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Work on projects or open-source work you've contributed to in your own time
- Gain experience with systems engineering and automation
