Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, LLP is a national, full-service law firm founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Systems Analyst to support and optimize their financial technology ecosystem, focusing on providing systems support, conducting business analysis, and ensuring data integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level financial systems support for 3E in a law firm environment, supporting timekeepers, Billing, and Finance teams
- Support 3E functions including time entry, prebills, billing, client/matter setup, and financial reporting
- Assist with system administration tasks such as user provisioning, security role maintenance, and reference data updates under senior analyst guidance
- Investigate system issues related to billing rules, matter configuration, and financial data flows; resolved routine issues and escalated complex defects with detailed findings
- Partner with Accounting and Billing teams to analyze law firm business processes, including timekeeping, billing cycles, collections, and revenue recognition
- Assist in documenting matter-based workflows, billing arrangements, and system dependencies within 3E
- Support system change requests by gathering requirements, assessing downstream impacts, and assisting with configuration or enhancement planning
- Support 3E upgrades, patches, and configuration changes across development, test, and production environments
- Execute functional, regression, and data validation testing focused on billing accuracy and financial controls
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test cases, supporting Billing and Finance users, and validating post-deployment outcomes
- Support standard and ad hoc financial and billing reports for law firm stakeholders
- Use basic SQL queries to extract, reconcile, and validate time, billing, and matter data
- Assist with data integrity checks to ensure consistency between 3E, billing outputs, and downstream financial reports
- Create and maintain system and process documentation related to 3E billing, timekeeping, and reporting
- Provide systems-focused support to timekeepers, billing analysts, and finance users, translating business questions into technical findings
- Contribute to internal knowledge base content supporting financial systems and law firm operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field required
- 3–6+ years of experience in financial systems, accounting systems administration, or financial analysis, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
- Experience with legal billing and accounting systems strongly preferred
