QA with modern AI/ML (No Staffing Firms)

American Computer Services, Inc. is seeking a forward-thinking Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This role bridges traditional QA disciplines with modern AI/ML testing strategies, allowing you to validate advanced AI models, automate test flows with AI-assisted tooling, and improve product quality using intelligent, cutting-edge test frameworks. Working within a dynamic Scrum (Agile) development environment, you will maximize the return on test automation investment using open standards and sustainable practices.

The ideal candidate is a technical expert who possesses deep proficiency in software automation testing and framework architecture. You possess strong experience in Data Mapping/Modeling, Test Driven Development (TDD), and Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD). You are adept at building and maintaining robust automated test suites from the customer’s perspective to ensure that automation delivers intended business results. Additionally, you are increasingly focused on AI-driven quality practices, leveraging intelligent tooling to enhance test coverage, improve regression reliability, and streamline API- and cloud-based test environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience integrating automated testing processes, solving complex quality assurance data-processing problems, and designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks from scratch.
• Demonstrated expertise in Test Driven Development (TDD), Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD), and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
• Strong experience creating automated tests and regression test suites utilizing Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid, Web Load, Jenkins, and JUnit.
• Demonstrated familiarity or experience using AI tools to develop, optimize, and execute automated test cases.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming and scripting for automation.
• Proficient in API testing and automation (REST & GraphQL) using tools like Postman or Rest Assured, including authorization protocols (OAuth2, JWT), contract testing (Swagger, Pact), and pipeline integration.
• Hands-on experience with web service test automation using the SoapUI tool, including testing batch, flat file, and web service-based interfaces.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes to dockerize test frameworks and run automated tests in containerized environments.
• Experience conducting performance and load testing using JMeter, Gatling, or K6, with the ability to analyze throughput, latency, and error rates to provide recommendations.
• Competency integrating testing workflows into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI, along with automated test reporting and artifact management.
• Proven experience executing and managing automated testing strategies within a fast-paced Scrum/Agile development environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive testing standards, procedures, and automated regression test strategies.
• Use AI-driven tooling to dramatically improve test coverage, defect detection, and overall regression reliability.
• Understand and translate test plans, scripts, and cases into clear technical requirements and definition-of-done criteria.
• Manage and maintain the enterprise Test Case Repository to ensure assets remain accurate and up to date.
• Participate in collaborative working sessions with developers and stakeholders to establish quality criteria and test plans.
• Design and architect automated testing frameworks utilizing Selenium WebDriver, Java, and Jenkins infrastructure.
• Maintain and optimize existing automation frameworks, regression test suites, and test environments.
• Analyze and interact with complex sets of automated test assets to provide strategic insights for improving test systems, databases, and servers.
• Provide tactical solutions and recommendations for automated test execution while troubleshooting and resolving complex test failures.
• Deliver user-friendly reporting frameworks to clearly communicate automated test results to QA, UAT, Business, and IT Management.
• Identify, track, and perform root cause analysis on system defects, partnering closely with the development team to ensure swift resolution.
• Partner with QA peers and technical architects to develop, establish, and evangelize organizational quality assurance standards and best practices.
