About this role
Ignite is an employee-owned SDVOSB that operates in demanding environments, delivering mission-critical impact for various defense and intelligence agencies. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support NASIC in Dayton, OH, focusing on designing new capabilities and resolving existing code issues.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new capabilities
- Resolve issues found in existing code
- Integrate capabilities with external services and tool
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience web development front and back end
- Experience with web front end development using React or Angular
- Experience with RESTful web services
- Experience with server-side languages, such as Golang, NodeJS, Python
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Experience with Docker/Podman (containerized deployment)
- Experience with version control software (ex Git)
- Experience with bug/issue tracking software such as JIRA
- Must have an active TS/SCI Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- US citizenship and ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
- Ability to communicate technical details of work
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and take ownership for segments of a project
- 10 years of experience developing front and back end
- Experience with Authentication/Authorization/Security related development (Keycloak, Open Policy Agent, OIDC, OAuth2) is a plus
- Experience utilizing NoSQL databases, such as Elastic, MongoDB is a plus
- Experience with Kubernetes, Istio, Helm is a plus
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines utilizing Gitlab CI or Jenkins is a plus
