Continental is a leading tire manufacturer and industry specialist that develops and produces sustainable solutions for automotive manufacturers and industrial customers. The Application Engineer for Conveyor Products will manage engineering activities, provide on-site support, and troubleshoot applications for key customers in Arizona.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate and supervise implementation of related Application Engineering activities (Customer projects, technical changes, quality improvements)
- Conduct field inspections, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting for Conveyor Products
- Safeguards committed standards of quality guidelines (internal and external), quality awareness, customer quality targets and observes customer care commitments
- Segment strategy development and execution with their area of responsibility including deployment to and through their teams
- Analyze the market and technology and provide input to business strategies
- Aligns with Product Development and Product Management of requirements and needs for the region
- Attends strategic meetings with customers, conferences etc. to provide technical input or present the best engineered solution as possible
- Selects and suggests best suited product specification for the application
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering(preferred) or related technical degree
- 2+ years of experience in application engineering or a comparable function in the mining industry
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong MS Office suite experience (Excel and PPT)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Up to 50% travel to customer sites for application support, project execution, and field troubleshooting
- 5+ years of Mining Industry experience
- Experience with industrial conveyor systems
- Experience in direct customer facing roles
