Entegrata is a fast-growing startup transforming how the legal industry works with data. They are seeking a Director of Solution Engineering to define and build the solution engineering function, guiding firms through evaluation, architecture, and adoption of their Azure-based data lakehouse platform.
Responsibilities:
- Lead compelling, technically credible demos of the Entegrata platform tailored to each prospect's environment, data landscape, and priorities
- Lead in-depth technical sessions with prospects' IT, security, and data teams, walking through platform architecture, infrastructure design, and integration approach in the detail needed to move a technical evaluation forward
- Own the technical response to RFPs and RFIs, translating platform capabilities into clear, accurate, compelling answers
- Partner with our security and engineering teams to complete security questionnaires and support prospects' due diligence and vendor risk reviews
- Own a clean, well-documented handoff from sales to implementation, carrying technical context, firm-specific requirements, and open questions forward so nothing is lost in transition
- Partner directly with the sales team, sitting alongside sales through active evaluations to help prospects navigate their demo requirements, technical questions, security concerns, and evaluation milestones in real time
- Partner with Customer Success and Implementation Engineering and stay engaged with select customers post-sale where deep platform expertise is needed to support a successful launch
- Work closely with product and engineering to ensure prospect feedback and technical requirements make it into the roadmap
- Partner with executive and sales leadership to establish the tools, playbooks, and processes for solution engineering at Entegrata as the team grows
Requirements:
- 5+ years in a sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical pre-sales role, ideally at an enterprise SaaS or data platform company
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric
- Comfort working across cloud architecture, data pipelines, and integration concepts; Azure experience a plus
- Track record of leading technical demos and discussions with both business and technical stakeholders, up to the C-suite
- Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs and completing security questionnaires (e.g., SIG, CAIQ) in an enterprise sales context
- Legal industry or professional services experience
- Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric certification
- Experience building a sales engineering or solution engineering function from scratch at an early-stage company
