Job Summary:
The Telecaller / Counsellor will be responsible for guiding prospective students and parents regarding the University’s courses, admission procedures, and academic offerings. The role involves handling inquiries, counselling students, coordinating admission-related activities, and maintaining effective communication through calls, emails, and correspondence. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to manage administrative and coordination responsibilities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound and outbound calls related to admissions and course inquiries.
Counsel prospective students and parents regarding University programs, admission procedures, eligibility criteria, and career opportunities.
Provide accurate information about courses, fee structure, schedules, and University policies.
Maintain and update inquiry records, follow-ups, and student databases.
Coordinate with internal departments regarding admission and counselling activities.
Draft and manage correspondence through emails, letters, and other communication channels independently.
Assist in organizing admission drives, counselling sessions, orientations, and promotional activities.
Ensure timely follow-up with prospective students and maintain positive engagement.
Prepare reports and maintain records using ERP systems and MS Office applications.
Support administrative and coordination activities as assigned by the management.
Candidates should possess strong communication and coordination abilities along with a professional approach towards students, parents, and stakeholders. Training in counselling will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from any statutory University or qualification prescribed by the Board of Management.
Professional Certifications
Training or certification in Counselling will be desirable.
Certification in computer applications or ERP systems will be an added advantage.
Professional Experience
Freshers may apply for this position. Experience in counselling and coordination is preferred, and training in counselling will be an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and ERP packages.
Strong counselling and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle correspondence independently.
Good personality with the ability to educate and guide students and parents effectively.
