Senior Project Manager

Sonova Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead medium to large-scale projects critical to organizational success. This role involves ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while fostering collaboration across departments and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and contingency strategies
• Implement robust risk management processes and ensure adherence to project objectives and success criteria
• Provide regular status updates, financial performance reports, and ensure alignment with business priorities
• Act as the primary liaison between project teams and stakeholders across departments such as R&D, Operations, Quality, and Legal
• Facilitate collaboration to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements
• Oversee multiple project workstreams, monitor progress, identify issues, and resolve conflicts promptly
• Evaluate trade-offs between scope, complexity, and cost to maintain project integrity
• Drive continuous improvement in project management practices, including standardization of workflows and documentation
• Promote best practices and coach teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Maintain transparent and proactive communication with sponsors and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure alignment on objectives, milestones, and deliverables

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or 10 years equivalent work experience
• degree in engineering and / or advanced degree a plus
• PMP Certification
• Ability to thoroughly analyze complex systems and situations
• Willingness and ability to take and assume timely decisions with minimal direct supervision
• Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to re-prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to instruct & coach a team with appreciation and questioning of teams' work & results
• Ability to assess project risks and plan accordingly / take preventative action
• Assess project status and team members' reports
• Understanding of feasibility and risks related to project management
• Ability to evaluate technical reports outside their own background
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project
• English Fluency (written and spoken)
• A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova
• SCRUM Master
• 6+ years experience as a Project Manager for medical device, class 3 electromechanical medical devices (active implantable devices)
