Sr Product Design Engineer

Rolls-Royce is known for its brilliance and is seeking a Sr. Product Design Engineer to assist with design release control and engineering change management. The role involves working with cross-functional teams and is responsible for managing current products and introducing new products for production.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate engineering change management, requests, and cross-functional collaboration for new and existing product changes
• Create and maintain product BOMs and part numbers in ERP systems, ensuring complete and accurate structures
• Support new product design and development, providing input and troubleshooting for Bills of Material concerns
• Resolve project issues, monitor work progress, and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to product design processes and documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering and 5 years of experience, or 9 years of application, service, sales, or manufacturing engineering experience in large equipment industry
• Strong knowledge of Engineering Change Management processes and principles
• Proficient knowledge of design development, manufacturing and assembly operations, engineering processes and procedures
• Proficient with SAP, PTC Windchill, Windows for PC, and Excel
• Proficient with data mining and data cleansing using SAP, Excel, and other company software
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., lean, six sigma)
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Management experience or exposure to diverse challenges and cultures
