Signal Integrity Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Remote Signal Integrity Engineer to join an organization within the electrical and electronic interconnect manufacturing industry. The Signal Integrity Engineer will be a hands-on technical leader focused on system-level SerDes bring-up for cable and backplane designs.

Responsibilities:

• Drive high-speed electrical validation efforts, including signal integrity analysis, S-parameter characterization, BERT testing, TDR, and VNA evaluations
• Create, execute, and document engineering and design validation test plans to ensure product performance and compliance
• Partner closely with hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and customer teams to resolve performance issues and support product releases
• Design and enhance high‑speed test platforms and methodologies aligned with future product and technology roadmaps
• Investigate test failures, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to improve overall signal integrity performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in electrical engineering
• 8–10 years of signal integrity engineering experience with system-level SerDes bring-up
• Strong background in Signal Integrity Engineering, electromagnetic simulations, and S-parameters
• Experience with high-speed cables, backplanes, or interconnect systems
• Proficiency with SI simulation and measurement tools (IBIS-AMI, HFSS/CST, TDR, VNA, BERT)
• Masters preferred
