Sr. Software Engineer

CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc. is a leading cloud platform for the insurance economy, creating intelligent experiences for various stakeholders. The Senior Software Engineer will build and support scalable SaaS and customer-facing web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software and improve application performance.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable software designs and technical solutions
• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using modern technologies
• Independently deliver software features and enhancements with minimal supervision
• Analyze requirements, evaluate alternatives, and recommend appropriate technical approaches
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, application defects, and customer-reported concerns
• Analyze logs, monitoring tools, and application performance metrics to diagnose and resolve system issues
• Participate in code reviews and promote adherence to engineering standards and best practices
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Quality Engineers, and other software engineers throughout the development lifecycle
• Contribute to application design discussions and provide input on architecture, performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to junior engineers
• Continuously improve software quality, reliability, and operational efficiency

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience designing and developing business applications using object-oriented programming principles
• Strong proficiency in C# and SQL
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs within Service Oriented and Microservice Architectures
• Experience developing services using C# / .Net, using current frameworks
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and scalable application development
• Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and supporting production applications
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team
• Experience building SaaS or customer-facing web applications
• Experience working in cloud-based environments
• Understanding of relational database design, optimization, and performance tuning
• In depth experience with ElasticSearch or other non-SQL data stores
• Experience with stateful service development, such as with Microsoft Service Fabric
• Experience with application monitoring, observability, and logging frameworks
• Experience working within Agile development teams
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals
