Purchasing Clerk Duties and responsibilities:
- Prepares purchase orders by compiling information and records from multiple sources.
- Edit purchase requests, and follow-up on outstanding purchase orders.
- Consults catalogs and other references to obtain prices and specifications.
- May contact vendors and suppliers for quotations.
- Placing emergency orders based on request from branches.
- Analyzing inventory levels and usage to determine stocking quantities.
Purchasing Clerk Qualifications:
- Associate's degree is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or purchasing support capacity.
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
- MS Dynamics accounting/inventory software experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and attention-to-detail.
