Unit Secretary - Orthopedic Spine Medical Surgical Telemetry, Evening/Rot

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Unit Secretary, Orthopedic Spine Medical Surgical Telemetry
• Location:  Skokie Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time: Part Time, Evening Shift (3p-11:30p; 11am-7:30p), Rotating Weekends
• Hours:  28
• Required Travel:  N/A

What you will do:

• Coordinate non-clinical duties of the nursing unit
• Enter patient charges in computer
• Coordinate patient flow of admissions and discharges
• Order supplies
• Customer service to patients, families, nurses, physicians and other support departments
• Answer phones and relay messages as appropriate
• Proactively identifies need for service recovery and follow up of resolution

What you will need:

• License: N/A
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Certification: N/A
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience required or 1 year of college and 1 year of work experience required
• Skills:  Proficiency with word processing and computer skills required
