Senior Python Software Engineer (Oracle SQL | Healthcare Data Platform)

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is a leading company in the Healthcare Industry, currently seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer for a contract opportunity. The role involves designing and supporting Python applications, developing REST APIs, and working with Oracle databases to enhance healthcare data processing and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and support enterprise Python applications and backend services
• Develop REST APIs and integration logic for internal systems
• Work with Oracle databases, complex SQL, and PL/SQL to support data processing and reporting
• Build and maintain data validation, reconciliation, and automation workflows
• Support performance tuning and optimization for Oracle queries and data pipelines
• Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and developers to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Support healthcare data workflows, reporting, and operational processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of hands-on Python development
• Experience building enterprise or production applications using Python
• Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
• Strong experience with complex SQL queries
• Experience building or supporting backend services or APIs
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Oracle performance tuning
• PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions
• SQL*Loader, BULK COLLECT, FORALL
• FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• Pandas, NumPy
• SQLAlchemy, python-oracledb, or cx_Oracle
• Power BI or Tableau
• Healthcare claims, payer, health plan, or healthcare data
