Senior Software Engineer, Pega

Genworth is a company dedicated to empowering families to navigate the aging journey with confidence. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep Pega expertise to develop and maintain mobile and desktop Pega-based solutions, contributing to critical systems that support Long-Term Care Claims Administration applications.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support for Pega applications
• Serve as a Senior Application Developer for the LTC Claims Operations technology team by designing, developing, and supporting scalable workflow applications
• Develop software using PEGA Rules Process Commander (PRPC) for Business Process Management and Business Process Rules initiatives
• Create innovative solutions to address design, architectural, and technical challenges
• Partner with the Lead System Architect to determine solution design and produce required technical documentation
• Perform ongoing refactoring, apply visualization techniques, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
• Build and maintain strong peer relationships across cross‑functional technology teams and application users
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Testers, and business users to prioritize development within resource constraints
• Evaluate and adapt emerging technologies and toolsets as appropriate
• Perform peer code reviews and ensure strong adherence to Pega guardrails

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA)
• 5 - 7+ years of Pega application development experience
• 4+ years developing BPM applications using Pega PRPC Platform 8 & 24/25
• Strong enforcement of Pega best practices for design and architecture
• Experience with Agile (Scrum)
• Experience with SQL Server or Oracle
• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments
• Experience with Pega Constellation
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with .NET or Java
• Experience leading development teams
