Electrical Engineer IV

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. is searching for an Electrical Engineer for an opportunity with one of our premier clients in Oshkosh, WI. The Engineer – Electrification designs functional, reliable and cost-effective heavy-duty vehicle high voltage electrical systems and supports senior engineers in various tasks related to electrical design and analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Under close supervision, perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according to client as well as general industry engineering standards and processes
• Support senior engineers in the preparation of basic plans, designs, computation methods, and/or reporting
• Under close supervision, work on projects of limited complexity in a support role
• Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally
• Under close supervision, design electrical parts and components to correct parameters and specifications while incorporating quality, cost reliability and ease of manufacturing
• Support senior engineers with basic and accurate calculations, analysis and investigation according to client as well as general industry engineering standards and processes
• Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot or production builds, including resolution of problems in manufacturing
• Process engineering information through change notices, change proposals, and the creation of thorough print documentation
• Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally
• Other duties as assigned
• Regular attendance is required

Requirements:

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with Internship experience or six (6) or more months related work experience
• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Familiarity with programming languages and controls software
• Familiarity with Controller Area Network (CAN)/SAE J1939 protocol
• Automotive High Voltage Training/Certification(s)
• Power Electronics and Machines familiarity
• Energy Storage system familiarity
